 Our
plants are true to type
Rather than like some other companies who
concentrate on big quantities but a low sell
price, we dedicate ourselves on producing
high quality Date Palm trees. This is why
our production protocols are very strict
with fixed limits in several domains like
quantity of plants produced per offshoot,
elimination of the use of any hormone during
more than 90% of the process, coded
labeling, etc… New plant materials are
introduced each 6 month.
Permanent Quality Control:
As part of our commitments in ensuring the
true-to-type state of our trees, we attach a
great importance to monitor their genetic
stability all along the in vitro process.
Furthermore, as it is important that this
control is achieved by a reliable
independent party, we have granted this task
to an official French microbiology
laboratory.
The Group for Control and Survey of
Varieties and Seeds (G.E.V.E.S.) that
belongs to the French Ministry of
Agriculture has a great experience in the
field of conformity and fingerprinting
techniques.
For the past ten years, our plants are
monitored regularly, at several growth
stages by R.A.P.D (Random Amplified
Polymorphism DNA) and more recently by
I.S.S.R (Inter Simple Sequence Repeat).
These complicated processes allow the
assessment of the stability of the varieties
by comparing the genetic profiles of the
mother plants (offshoots) with those of the
vitroplants.
